The Stratford Tennis Club offers a variety of organized events to help children learn to play tennis. All the events promote an active lifestyle and provide children with an opportunity to meet other members and practice their tennis skills. Activities begin May 5th, 2025. Come and check them out!
Free Kids Tennis on Saturdays in May and June
“Kids Tennis” is a free program for members and non-members ages 4 to 12 years. The program utilizes child-size racquets, soft balls and small nets. Young children have fun participating in a variety of games and drills. The purpose of “Kids Tennis” is to facilitate the gradual development of a young child’s tennis skills in order to improve their overall tennis skills. No registration or prior tennis experience is required. All the necessary equipment is provided by the club.
10:00am to 10:45am Ages 4-7 years
10:45am to 11:30am Ages 8-12 years
The Stratford Tennis Club gratefully accepts any donations to help purchase and maintain this equipment, so every child has the opportunity to play tennis regardless of membership!
Free Group Lessons for all Club Members
Free group lessons are included with all paid memberships. Weather permitting, these take place from May 5th until August 28th 2025. TBD*

Optimist Junior Tennis Day
Date: Saturday, June 28th, 2025 Time: 10:00am to Noon Fee: Free!
This special event is generously sponsored by the Stratford Optimist Club. All participants ages 4 – 17 will take part in a variety of fun tennis games followed by a free lunch and prize table. Members and non members are all welcome to attend. Registration begins at 9:15 am. Loaner racquets are available.

Junior Events
Our junior grand slam events are generously sponsored by Royal LePage Hiller Realty. Junior members ages 5 -17 who are interested in friendly, competitive play are invited to sign up at the clubhouse during the preceding week. These events are free for all members.
